House work, literally.

Hearing and smelling a chain saw run inside your house is a very surreal sensation. I got the entire ceiling of the basement bedroom demoed tonight. There is a tiny biy more metal lath to pull down, and then just the chimney area. So, that room is just about to get crossed off the list.

The front bedroom has about 20% and the ceiling left. The middle room has roughly the same. The back bedroom has metal lath up to chest height all the way around, so that will slow me down when I start pulling it out. I got half the ceiling down in the back bedroom and about 50% on the walls right now. Aside from that the rest of the house is still waiting to be demoed.

The dumpster will be here tomorrow, and all the debris will finally be out from under foot. I think I'm going to spend most of the day getting stuff into the dumpster before I go back to demoing so I will have a relatively clean area to work in. Once all the second floor and the attic are done I will clean and vacuum everything before I move my things up there to store for now.

With the first floor mostly empty I'm going to demo the living and dining rooms first and get them somewhat clean so I can move to the temp kitchen in the dining room and then demo out the kitchen.

With all that done I should be in a position to vacuum out the whole house one last time and then the real fun can finally begin.
