Rock on, this bitch just gets better an better. Now this. Seriously, how can anyone want this in office?!

This is not in direct response to anyone in particular at the moment, but I feel it needs to be said.

I own a late model Ford Ranger. It gets marginal fuel mileage, but it runs well and does all the hauling I frequently need to do. Many people I know own compacts or vehicles not suited for moving anything more than a couple of people or the groceries home from the store.

The point of contention here is that I am that friend with the truck. And frankly I'm sick of it. Sick of it!

While I appreciate your eye on economy in your vehicular choice, it does not make me subject to be your personal moving man when you need something large moved.

So often I'm told, yes /told/, that I need to help someone move something or go get X with them and my truck. Usually to be put in the position of dealing with their schedule, getting marginal compensation for fuel, and being required to be the muscle to load and move said large object. KNOCK IT OFF!!

From henceforth, if anyone, ANYONE, wants something moved, yes I am still available to help you, however, I rightfully expect adequate compensation for my time, as well as my fuel and wear and tear.

I think it is total bull shit to demand I help someone move based on friendship. Where is the reciprocity? I have a house I'm remodeling, yet no one helps me with it.

In short, if you want something moved, you either need to respect my time and not be a cheap ass over compensating my efforts and equipment, or haul your ass down to enterprise and rent your own truck, cause I'm done being treated like an on demand moving man.

I took a nice ride downtown today, down the trails by two of the rivers, and then thought downtown to the point. All in all, an awesome ride. Something happened though at Starbucks that really, really bothered me.

I had my Trek cabled up to a tree, with my exceedingly heavy, thick, strong cable and ridiculously large lock. I'm sitting inside sucking my mint mocha chip frap, reading nursing junk, watching my bike out the window. Some black dude walking by, stops, drops down, and physically checks the cable and lock, actually tugging on the lock. nearly a full 5 second transaction of him trying to ascertain the status of my security. WTF!?!?! And right in the middle of downtown with like a million people around.

This is the second time in three days that some black dude has made a pass at stealing my bike. WTF?! I'm not trying to be a raciest, but... THE NIGGS IS TRYIN TA STEAL MY BIKE! WTF!!!!!!!!

I'm just speechless. all I can say is WTF!

Today was day two of my 4 day clinical rotation over the period of a month. This section is over maternity, starting the intrapartal care and later shifting to postpartal care before we move to the next unit; Peeds.

Well, aside from the patient hating me, men, the world, et. al I got to see a C section performed. No real patient interaction due to her hating "that cracker ass student". Mumm, lets here it for racially bigoted blacks!

But, I got to attend her C section. It was really cool, much more vivid and intense versus video recordings. The procedure took far longer than it should have, and as such I started overheating in the jumpsuit I had to wear. While I didn't hit the floor, I did stagger out, nearly knocked a table over, and ended up feeling like a total noob. Had some crackers and juice and recouped an cooled off before going back in and watching the whole thing.

but that it for now.. I'm exhausted from being up at 5 am. I'm pretty sure this is much less consistent than normal, bt I've got so much stuff rushing at me and thoughts and things flying around that in the times when it is quiet and calm that the chaos hits. All the mental notes and cares of the day demanding there last bit of attention before they get filed away.

but. yes sleep. I'm rambling.

So, as many of you are unaware, I'm in Myrtle Beach this week with Felix and his family on a last minute invitation to join them.

I tell you this to set up the lawlz worthy encounter I just had on the beach.

Last night I purchased a stunt kite. We had n luck with it yesterday due to no wind, but today was quite nice for flying. Well we went down to the beach, swam a bit, etc, then I broke out the kite. After a few dozen failed flights I started getting the hang of it. Wheeee!!!

Unfortunately during my learning process, the wind suddenly dies and sent the kite into one of the beach umbrellas that you can rent. No damage done, however the people under it were a bit upset. We apologized and moved a bit lower down the beach, they seemed fine with that. There were no more incidents after that.

10 minutes go by until a lifeguard comes up and starts jumping down my throat. They apparently told him that they were hit by my kite, etc, etc, bs an lies. Well life guard guy gets all pissed off that I did not crash it instantly, rather electing for a graceful landing. He threatens to get the cops to escort me off the beach. Either way, I land, he goes away.

While I was packing up I gave the complainants a dirty look, and when when I'm just about backed up another kitest comes out and starts to setup. Felix elected to snidely ask if they were going to have him kicked off too. Well, that got the ball rolling. They jump up and start yelling at us and making a scene. The wife yell at me about giving her "go to hell looks" (LOL!). I tilt my glasses down and smile, she stops talking. I tell her, "Fine, I'll stop giving you looks.. Go to hell" And turn and start walking back to the hotel. The husband starts freaking out, screaming he is gonna come kick my ass, how dare I speak to his wife like that, etc.

In the end he never had the balls to touch me, and that was the last thing I told them. Felix and his mom called the life guard over, and he told them to leave the beach. So, I feel like I won in the end.

Whats funny is that is they had simply said they were not comfortable with me flying near them I would have moved and that would have been that.

So it;s the 4th. woot. I'm deep into the 20somthings now. I keep meaning to post my con report, but I've been busy with drama. In the mean time enjoy this clip from the Arrogant worms. It's one of my favorites.
