Well what the hell.. IT's been almost another month, why not keep the trickle of updates going.
For starters, I start back to school Monday the 23rd. I'm a little nervous, but feel like I can handle ti much better this time as I'm much more focused. On the down side, the assinins policies of the school prevent me from getting my books untill after classes start.. brilliant. Once things settle down though it will be ok.
My new garage doors were installed on the 2nd and they are nice! though having sealed the roof drain and having good doors has lead me to realize the concrete roof leaks- badly. So... I'm using a lumber tarp (as uses in trucking) to keep the roof dry and help stabilize the humidity in there. Once I get the floor dried, and the window glass blocked I'm going to move my wood shop down there.
Speeking of woodworking I'm finally starting to get a decent shop together again. I recently picked up a nice Porther-Cable fixed/plunge router, DeWalt palm sander, and best of all a lathe. LilDobe's folks are moving and wanted to sell it off so I bought it off of them at a _very_ modest price. Not to mention I also got a brand new set of Freud gouges with it (thoes that work wood will regonize the brand, and the sweetness behind it). So.. I need to get new brushes in my table saw and finer carbide blade. Get or build a router table, and a mortising machine and I can again begin producing high quality frunature. BOO YAW!
I've decided after looking at some of the current offerings of the market that I want to build ABY and BDSM frunature. There is a serious lace in varity of suppliers and sometimes lacking quality. Additionaly I have not yet found any crib that uses an authentic latching and slide system. I have designed such a system and plan to employ it in my designs. I'll probally make myself a crib and a stock first before I begin producing, but I'm hoping to be offering high quality, made to order stuff by the first of the year.
