Well I went skiing for the first time in my life yesterday, and I must say they really so make it look easy. I started out at 10am learning to snowboard since everyone I’ve talked to says it’s way easier to learn. Well it’s not, ok. It is down right hard! Well at any rate after falling down the mountain more than enough times I finally said, “screw this” and traded in my board for skis. WOW! What a difference. I slid down the bunny hill a few times without falling of any difficulty. So with out delay wolfcub and I hit lift 3 and headed for the top. Though it was a lil bit difficult at first and I fell twice on my first run down it was much more fun and easy to control. I probably did another 6 laps before I was tired, sore, and had to go. I must say I really do like skiing more than I though I would, and am toughly hooked. I think I’ll squeeze in a few more trips in before going back home for the holiday. Also I’m planning on trying to get a furry ski event together for some time in late January, after the holiday rush an all.
In other news I managed to knock out another Microsoft test, 70-217 administering an Active Directory Infrastructure. So all of core four is done now, and only two test stand in my way from being finished. I’ll take 70-227 on Wednesday, and then 70-221 next week. I’m so excited; the completion of a yearlong trip is nearing completion, and my goal if fast in sight. I’m also left with this impending feeling of emptiness. I have fallen into a comfortable routine of going to class three times a week, and gotten to know several people. I guess co-workers and such will soon replace them.
Before I go let me impart one little jewel of wisdom upon you. When you start to smell anti-freeze; replace your heater ASAP! I had the pleasure of driving home from Seven Springs last night in damp clothes, and no heat. So in addition to changing oil, O2 sensors, and a heater core I also have to finish my parents computer, get a few people their gifts, and pass 2 more tests :> Wow…. who needs sleep *giggle*
